Varvsberget
If you visit Varvsberget you´ll have to make do with “overlooking" your surroundings. The view from the restaurant is enchanting to say the least, taking in the centre of town, the harbour area and the coast. This is where the High Coast path starts, and you´ll find the Hörnsjö nature reserve here too.
MoDo Ice Hockey & Fjällräven Center
TheFjällräven Center, one of the finest indoor arenas in Sweden, with space för 7,600 people, plays host to one of the top teams in Swedish ice hockey´s Elite League: MODO Hockey. But it also hosts other major events in sports and music. MODO Hockey has produces many of the world ice hockey stars who have given Örnsköldsvik a well-established reputation far beyond Sweden, not least in the North American professional leagues. If you drive along the E4 motorway to just south of the town, you´ll see that an 18-hole golf course is being built at the moment. Peter Forsberg is one of the owners.
