Children and schools

Pre-school is part of the regular school and the pre-school class for six-year-olds is integrated with compulsory schooling. Our motto is “a school for everyone" and each school management area has extra resources available for children who need extra support. At compulsory and upper-secondary school, the number of qualified staff and those who apply to the next level of study is higher than average.

The cultural school centre offers a wide range of classes within music, dance and theatre. The municipality´s school of technology, “Kom-Tek" was a big success right from the start, offering voluntary activities on the theme creative technology.
